Yanik Silver & his blog

Yanik and I hit it off right away, and he felt his audience would benefit from exposure to PebbleStorm’s story.  For my part, I really liked how Yanik makes fun and meaning a part of business (in fact, his creed is “Make more money, have more fun, give more back”).  Yanik also designed his latest venture, Maverick Business Adventures, in the PebbleStorm way: he literally took a blank sheet of paper and designed his ideal business…and then went out to create it.  Here’s a note about it from his bio:

“As a self-described “adventure junkie”, Yanik has found that his own life-changing experiences such as running with the bulls, bungee jumping, sky diving, exotic car road rallies and Zero-Gravity flights have not only brought a profound sense of accomplishment but also led to breakthroughs in ideas, focus and business thinking.     What a BRILLIANT, simple, and profound presentation. I can hardly wait to see the progress!

    It’s quite amazing how you and I share similar passions…

    1. I started my own kind of Pebblestorm (I didn’t really understand yours until today) called the True Livelihood Network… http://TrueLivelihood.net

    It’s obviously still in its infancy, but the description is:
    “True livelihood” is an extension of “Right Livelihood” which comes from the Buddhist concept of ethical work (search “Right Livelihood” in Wikipedia.) True Livelihood is work/career/livelihood that is both ethical/beneficial to the world AND expresses one’s authentic self. It is working with purpose, passion, and integrity. True livelihood is work that utilizes your signature strengths, gives you deep joy, maintains or enhances your integrity, and allows you to contribute meaningfully to the bettering of the world. If you resonate with this, join this group to connect with others on this path. May all discover their true livelihood.

    2. And perhaps similar to your idea of CEOflow, I had secured the domain name “ProductiveFlow.com”. Ever since I read Marc Allen’s book “Type-Z Guide to Success” years ago, I’ve believed that the goal of Productivity is to get a lot done WHILE experiencing flow and ease…which is what I coach on.
